Jon Ashley was born in New York but spent his growing up years in northeast Ohio and as a kid was a die-hard Cleveland Indians fan.
After graduating high school, Jon moved between a few colleges before ending up at Cedarville University, where he is currently finishing up a degree in Youth Ministries.
His passion is pointing students to a life-changing relationship with Jesus, and helping them discover how they can actively and creatively make His name known in the world. He has had awesome opportunities to get involved in student ministries while working for two summers as a camp counselor at Camp Patmos and as an intern at BridgeWay Community Church this past summer. While working through classes at Cedarville, he also leads a high school guys’ small group at Patterson Park Church.
After graduation, he hopes to do some traveling, get involved in youth ministry wherever he can, and eventually pursue an advanced degree in theology.
In between classes and college life, Jon loves writing, a good book, indie music and films, road trips and a nice french-pressed cup of Starbucks coffee. He also plays guitar and is in the process of learning to play the harmonica and the ukulele.
